Antennas are what makes a radio perform well. We encourage our customers to use specifically tuned high gain antennas.
3 antenna’s (145-155, 155-165,165-175mHz) cover the full spectrum of VHF frequencies from 145-175mHz. These antenna’s are specifically tuned for specialists who operate in demanding field conditions. They give 3 to 7 dB gain and have less than 1:3 standing wave ratio when used within their calibrated frequency. These antennas are used for logging roads, backcountry lodges, Parks, ski resorts etc.
This antenna is specifically used for UHF frequencies (FRS – Family Radio Service). These frequencies can be used to communicate with small Motorola/Cobra style radios. These frequencies are ideal for 2-way communication when in the field.
